Our History
After working for 10 years in Public Relations, Jennifer found herself wanting a business of her own. After living in Washington, D.C. for almost six years where there was a lack of quality Cuban cuisine, her initial thought was to open up a Cuban restaurant/bakery.
As luck would have it, Jennifer found herself working the back hallways for a convention of a large National Hispanic organization. It was there that she was first exposed to the world of Event Management. Five months and several consulting clients later, 305 Communications and Events was born in January 2006.
305 relocated their headquarters to the area code that inspired the company’s namesake, Miami, Florida in August of 2010. Thousands of frequent miles later, we continue to operate in Washington, D.C. and across the United States.
The next major stepping stone came in July of 2013 when Maria Fischer Millet joined on as Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer. Maria brought more than a dozen years of expertise in the event planning, management and logistics industry. Having organized a vast variety of world-class events, she augmented the current services the firm was offering, and provided the “Nica” perspective.
With over two combined decades of marketing and events management experience, 305 Communications and Events understands how to successfully distinguish and target our client’s audience through research, strategies, and execution.
Lead by a team of strong Hispanic women, we have extensive knowledge to make every event successful, from an hour-long workshop of a dozen attendees, to a multi-day conference of thousands. We advise our clients on all aspects of their event including site selection, negotiation, budgeting, vendor selection, logistics, and onsite management. We have provided our clients with successful national and international PR campaigns using all forms of media and have achieved increased awareness and market penetration on their behalf.
Based in Miami, with presence in several major U.S. cities; 305 Communications and Events has experience planning events nationally and internationally for a variety of corporations, non-profit organizations, and government entities.
A decade later we are proud of all those who we’ve had the privilege to serve, but apologize to the D.C. community who continues to lack savoring true Cuban Cuisine.
